The Crisis

These Americans fought for us. We have to fight for them.

Veterans represent roughly 8% of the adult homeless population — that's over 32,000 men and women on any given night. Many came home carrying wounds that don't show on an x-ray: PTSD affects 11–20% of post-9/11 veterans, and those struggling with it are 50% more likely to be unemployed. The system that was supposed to catch them often doesn't.

At HonorBound Heroes, we believe that dignity is not a privilege — it's something every veteran earned the moment they raised their right hand. Our mission is to honor their service by meeting them where they are, with real help and a real path forward.

We don't just write checks. We show up. From emergency care kits to job placement support to long-term housing advocacy, we walk beside veterans at every step of their journey home.

Care Kit Drive

Raising funds to assemble and distribute emergency care kits to homeless veterans in our community. Simple, direct, immediate.

Our Story

Started with heart. Rebuilding with purpose.

HonorBound Heroes began the way most great ideas do — with a group of people who looked at a problem in their community and refused to look away. They saw veterans sleeping in parking lots, under bridges, invisible in the richest country in the world, and they said: not here, not on our watch.

One man standing is still a movement waiting to happen.

The organization hit hard times. Founders moved on. Momentum stalled. But the mission never changed, and neither did John McAllister — the one constant through it all. John has carried HonorBound Heroes on his back through the difficult stretch, refusing to let it become just another good idea that faded away.

Now we're rebuilding — with new leadership, a clearer strategy, and a community ready to step up. The best chapter of this organization is the one we haven't written yet. And we'd like you to help write it.
